According to the news article in the Roswell Patch 1,100 Roswell North Elementary students in Georgia participated.

Yay to their teachers Dierdre Christian and Gina Steffensen.

To see some great photos and some happy students check out RN Art Blog

and

in Atlanta Mrs Knight's students not only had fun finding art, they had fun sharing their artwork.

Join Mrs. Knight's Smartest Artists, grades K-5, as we explore Free Art Friday in the Johns Creek/Atlanta GA area.

Free Art Friday is included in the Yellow Springs newest board game YS-Opoly

and the Pre-Launch Party and media event is June 2nd at the Antioch University Midwest.

I would LOVE to share YOUR free art at this special event and am seeking small works of art. Let's show them what a GREAT Free Art Community we have.

Many people who do FAF will tell you why they do it, it's because it makes them happy to think they are making a stranger happy :) Sages throughout the centuries have stated being kind makes you happy

When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.

BUT now there is evidence to support why being kind can make you happy and healthy.

Really nice to see the artists working on their pieces, talking about process, and why they do Free Art Friday.

Charnwood Arts will be heading up the  first FAF which will be in Loughborough town centre on Friday June 7th 2013. Free Art Friday is a global art sharing phenomenon. Here is what two artists who are already involved say about the project “Artwork placed on the street for any member of the public to enjoy and take home - go on, make someone’s day! Free Art Friday is not an original concept.

Ceramic Artist Linda Dixon has been a fan of Free Art Friday for a long time and finally decided to join the community. I asked Linda what inspired her to start the Northamptonshire Group in the UK.

"Well, I heard about FAF a long time ago, and also Found Art Tuesday, when I first started creating art again and made my blog Rediscovering art. It was then that I got to know lovely people like Jafabrit and Rosa Murillo.

Do you live in Nanaimo or in any of the surrounding communities?

If you do, FAFCA is putting out a call to artists.  GREAT logo and a really nicely put together website, this is going to be a fun place to watch.

Meet the artists: Jessica Molčan one of two admins for the FB faf Vancouver, the other admin is Chantelle Spicer. Ella De Guire is fairly new to free art friday, but I have a feeling all three will be filling up the pages on their website with some cool faf pieces.
